I attempted to do a few things around the house prior to trying some archery, well the upshot of the exercise was that the fore arm muscle was still very very tender. Thought I should go and see about that. I went to my Doctor and he sends me off the a Physiotherapist specialising in sports injuries. The long and short of it is that I had torn my forearm muscle and that it would take six weeks to repair, during those six weeks I will be required to do exercises to assist in the repair and strengthening it and the muscles that also are using the tendon. All in all I have been doing my exercises for a week and I am feeling much betterin the elbow area and the forearm muscle, and I can do more about the house which is great, I will be back at archery before I now it and I shall have none of the former pain ..so all in all glad I have decided to be a more clever person than I have been
I must say I am looking forward to shooting again and like my Bro Stev G I shall be taking my time to get back into the sport I enjoy so much.. morte reports to follow on the arm saga

Funny how these stupid injuries compound themselves into something one never expects. Glad you caught it and got a correct solution in time, mate. We're really in the same boat now, must be karma or whatever. My shoulder still pops, but the arm feels like it's healing, so we'll give 'em heck at the butts in a few weeks.

Like you Steve, I am really looking forward to puting some arrows out of my bow, but I am realistic enough to know that if I don't do this right I might have to have a long enforced sabatical, and to be honest I am not interested in that at all.... so 5 five weeks now isnt that long to wait to make sure all is good

Agreed, just allergic to scalpels in my case. Mr. B has more sense than I do, as I work strictly from fear and hard knocks.
