sorry, dear, got a bad case of the snuffles, and it doesn't help my general silliness. I tend to read into things when I shouldn't, too. all will work out, and I'll let you in on whatever I hear.

Kathy

Caring is never silly, it's a rare thing now a days. Something to be cherished never embarrased about and never apologised for.

thank you, blackcat, you're a true blessing.

finally got an actual cell call from hubby this afternoon, sounded very tired and disgusted. my cousin appears to have gone off to join some of the others in fresher territory at steve's request. hmmm...think I'll not tell patty about this since I don't have all the facts yet. anyway, my bwana will be staying in the main camp tonight to rest, then is going out exploring for himself tomorrow. he's dropping hints that he wants to go deer hunting later on in november when the next part of the season opens. he hates admitting defeat, not surprised. men, gotta love 'em.

think I did it right, but since we're on the same computer don't expect much, we (he) gets confused easily.

btw, if you've been wondering why I rarely capitalize and/or other quirks, i have severe arthritis and osteoporosis from the steroids I must take for the transplant. i still type over 70-wpm, but used to be faster when i was a legal secretary, and still make mistakes fast.

got a text message from steve this AM, he's awaiting the rest of the party's arrival down the mountain. once they link up, they'll take the rest of the day to pack out. expecting him home in the late afternoon or early evening. most of the group was successful, not sure what that means. to me, just getting back without broken bones or frostbite or multiple insect bites is a success, oh well.

he's home, a physical wreck and in bed since dark. won't be on here until tomorrow (our time), not sure when though. kept a lot of notes, says he'll write the whole thing up. ate a whole roasted chicken, downed a pint of beer and a handful of aspirin, been snoring ever since. that's my steve!

Slight exaggeration there, was only half a chicken and one can. Seems like more, though. Hey, only had one sandwich all day, ate better when I was alone up there. That, and six straight hours down the hill wasn't easy. Oh well.
