Interesting stuff! When I was a boy growing up on the farm in Ohio we would always fined arrow heads down by the creek, in the fields, in the yard. Didn't think anything of it at the time,,, heck we were young and dumb and played Danial Boone and Davy Crockett, we didn't have time for real history...
What a shame we never kept any of those arrow heads and stone hammer/war club heads we found. Of course no one we knew of was asking for them like they do today... The farm was located in Auglaize County, right in the heart of Shawnee land...

Fred, I'll certainly keep you in mind should I ever come across another windfall of arrow heads like that when I was a boy. That farm I grew up on is over a thousand miles away from where I now live and I wouldn't be surprised if its been picked over by now like most places since the interest over the last 20+ years in this area has grown so much. However, a person never knows what they'll find over the next hill, so you never know what I may come across out here in Nebraska? I will keep you in mind.
While on the subject, I might add that you folks over there in England have one heck of a (now retired) flint knapper by the name of Tom Fuller... Outstanding knapper to be sure and I've bought many of his 'Black English Flints' for use in my flintlock rifles. Just out standing!
