An excellent day was had, an early start (well not as early as I had hoped as I slept in a little too much!! ), on the journey I had to stop for something to eat as queueing at the hut for bacon sarnies wouldn't have been enough for me!
Got to the shoot venue at 9.45am and found that people were still turning up! and I thought I was late! anyway got all set up and out to the targets, our first target was a very short 2 or 3 yard tiny target which had to be shot from a stand at a very steep angle down! Oh well I thought to myself, here we go!! first and secon arrow missed and the third scored a kill!! .
Was this the way it was going to be all day..................?
Nope !!!
my next 4 targets were 1st arrow kills!!! 20 points each!
That took me way over the 50 points I wanted to get for the day!
from then on it varied between targets until I had a sequence if blanks! I didn't know what was going on and I couldn't think what to do, fortunately the chocolate raisins came out and I realised it was my blood sugar getting low!! 1st target after the raisins - 1st arrow Kill!!.
And so it went on all day until the 3rd from last target I got a 24!
Ended up the day with a score of 422! I was quite impressed as I was only shooting by instinct alone!
the top score of the day was a little more than that though (576), but it was my first time shooting HT so I am happy _________________ Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away - and you have their shoes...

Congrats, I would think for a first time I'd be jumping for joy with a score like that. Sounds like a really good challenging course as well.
