I'v kind of been in hiding recently, other things getting in the way, but also because I was involved in instruction at the club. All new to me, and also having just started this archery stuff myself in Oct last year, I wasn't sure if I knew enough or was good enough to be involved. The first week was hell and I hated every second. All I could think was I'm going to mess this up and the beginner will never want to come back, I'm still not sure how I did.
The good news is my beginner ( a lovely outgoing and friendly lady) came back the next week and she is grouping nicely hopefully some of that is down to me (although I have to say she does seem to have natural ability). Only one more week to go then I'm off the hook for a wee while. The strange thing now is I think I will miss it. Although not on this site I put my change of heart and new found confidence down to the head coach Andy and thank him here for all his help (if your interested he's not really the type you can say that to his face he would think I was joking). I also have to admit that I used advice I was given here so thanks to you guys as well.
Hopefully I will make a decent instructor and eventually gain a coaching certificate.
It's so strange just 12 months ago I didn't even know that this huge family of archers existed, now I shoot every chance I get, I'm on the committee and I'm an instructor, my oh my what a year it's been.
