Well, it took a while, but things are gradually coming together. The settlement check from my late father's union estate fund came in today. Thanks to that, we'll be finally out of debt, taxes paid up, and won't have to pay any bills for the rest of the year. Kathy will get her birthday present that I've been paying on since last year, and now I can order the bows I wanted for my own BD. Even Hannukah is looking good for once!

Fred should be happy, as I'll be ordering that ELB and appropriate arrows from him (always loved Robin Hood when I was a kid). The Monster Bows Phoenix is going to be the next and final item on my list. Going to be a busy week, but it'll be nice to have some leeway to look forward to.

I'm so pleased for you. Isn't it great when something good happens and all your plans come together. Enjoy the bows and post pics when you get them.

Thanks, all, just have to be patient for a while longer. Seems the bloody Feds have tweaked the rules again, so the bank's holding the deposited check for a couple of weeks, funds won't be available until the 29th. I don't know which is worse, the gov'ment or the banks. Now you know why I'm a libertarian.

With any luck, I should have photos up fairly quickly once I have everything in hand. Some friends at the local shop are putting together a puma hunt after school starts up again in September, and I've been invited along. That should make for some interesting pics, especially since I haven't been on a horse/mule since 1970! Little like handing the video camera to the drunk best man at a wedding, heh.

It's the government you got to watch out for and I should know, I'm a tax man (person, woman) over here in the UK . Not to worry though only another 2 weeks, it will go by in a flash honest.
