With the kind of fancy camo-patterns they put on metal risers these days, wonder why nobody's put a pseudo-wood dip on a riser?

Segolden ive thought the same myself, over here in the UK there is only one company doing it called hydrographics in Yorkshire. I have seen some of the work on air rifle stocks and it's pretty good, i will try and find a link for them.

Hi Guys,

RE: Hydrographics

Yes, they are company based in York. Their web site is at www.hydro-graphics.co.uk

I spoke to them at the West Midlands Game Fair a few years ago about coating bows and they said it would be no problem and that they have done a few bow handles in the past. I don't know about limbs, so you would have to ask about that if you really wanted to go mad with it.

Hope this helps, and if you do go for it I hope you post some pictures up to show the work you have had done. I have seen some of the rifles and the camouflage bike that they have done and their work is spectacular.

Fred I agree, in the traditional sense no it probably isn't a bow as we would have known 100 years ago, but as thing's develop new things are born, people demand better scores and more accurate equipment, hence the compound. I dont own a trad bow yet but certainly intend to visit that side of our sport

Any way stop being shy you lot, let's see them bows

LIAM I am not knocking it just woundering how for it is going to go.I have  a compound complete with sights /wghts and release aid and when I cannot use a normal bow safely that is the way I will go the let off now allows you to use a more powerful bow safely.

Well, Fred, you wouldn't be the only one. I seriously doubt if I will ever pull more than my 33# Browning compound on any regular basis, and Steve may not be in shape to pull his 45# longbows any time soon. GRRRRR!! !@#$%^&*! Okay, I'm done now.

I have come down from a 90#longbow 45# recurve to 40# longbow 36# recurve  my compound is 60# with 65% let off so you can see the differance age and illness makes

Ruthy and Ratfighter called in to see us this afternoon, Ratfighter had a smile from ear to ear

He came in clutching a rather large flat box which he would not put down at first we thought he was stuck to the box with super glue.

He was clearly excited about something,  just bursting to show us well he opened the box and this is what was in inside

It had arrived today and I must say it is very nice

I am sure Ratfighter will tell us all about it when he has had chance to try it out, and maybe post some more pictures
