You should try doing that with steel fence posts, you'd get very interesting shapes out of it, as I do.

Just found this topic, what great pics, they make such interesting photos you can feel the dynamics of the arrow.
Just a couple from me, first was my Red and white at Hansons shoot in Oct, Second was club member Annamarie's Blue at the top at Forest of Ardens shoot in July.

You have to imagine climbing up a natural circular mound 30 ft up 50 ft diameter (approx. you understand) and shooting at a white mountain goat say 50 yards away and this tree was to the left of the line about midway and these arrows were embedded 15-20ft up...very funny to pass by and see.

Another dead silver birch, the target that was being shot at is the fungus on the tree above the arrows.
