Did catch it but didn't hold on to it - it was too high for my small mind to cope with.
I was just happy getting the same score 2 days in a row. When I got it on Saturday I was happy, so technically I should have been happy yesterday when I got it again, but I was a bit pissed with myself as I was sure I could do better.
But there you go.
Dee
btw - where can I go on this site to get advice for Rory's bow - he insists he needs a new scope for his bow and I have a sinking feeling this is going to cost me a fortune.

Well Bernie, I think we can safely say we've improved slightly over last years score. I got a 200 today at the shoot - and although I know you still beat me, I was 125 up on last year's score. AND I didn't lose or break any arrows.
Result!
Mind you the weather was better and I didn't blind anyone going round the course.
Valerie and Marion both lost and damaged many arrows but their scores were good (as usual). Marion beat Audrey by 10 points at 285 , Valerie got 240.
Not sure I liked the new "going out" format - I had both kids with me who proceeded to bicker the whole way around. Next Time I'll stand up to the registration desk and separate them!

Hi Dee
Well didn't lose or break any either poor Ashley broke 2 of Frank's Redlines, again we did have a laugh on the way round.
I think the new format was tried because of last year when it got dark quick and we only got 24 targets done because we had to wait on the others turning up.
Got to ask did you see the mushrooms at target 12????? Ashley and I took a fit of laughing at them and jokes where flying lol

yes I did indeed see the mushrooms. they are phallic, smelly buggers. guess what you call them..... stinkhorns. can you guess why? stephanie decided to break one open - there was a clear oozing liquid coming from them. hhmmmmmmmmmmm.
oh yes, flies are attracted to them because of the smell.
unbelievabley they are edible!
font of useless knowledge I am. see http://www.uksafari.com/stinkhorn2.htm if you don't believe me. (Now I know I've turned into a geek in my old age but the reason I know about these is that they grew in the copse at the top of the garden for a few years. Haven't seen any this year though)
re the going out as you arrive - it isn't a bad idea, but my 2 hate shooting with each other so it was a recipe for disaster so I moved Rory on to another group after lunchtime that hadn't been out before so he could bore them with the rules. I believe registration was annoyed at this move - but it was better than me murdering him.
Also, I love being put into groups of those I don't get to shoot with much - the variety is usually brill.
