Let me explain the situation first, mine, my neighbours either side and 1 further down gardens all run down to another house at the bottom, this houses side boundry runs along our 4 gardens at the far end, still with me?

We are talking about the boundry at the end of our 4 gardens which makes up the side boundry of the house at the bottom.

Up untill 2 or 3 years ago a nice couple lived in the house at the bottom, I once asked them if they minded me repairing their fence which was at the end of my garden, they obliged saying no problem at and that it saved them a job.

Now the problem comes, a couple or so years ago some misserable old hag moved in, since then we have had nothing but greif, she has demanded that we should cut certain trees down, coz they block sunlight into her back garden, she got the council onto me because she didnt like the stuff I was storing behind my shed (bricks slabs wood etc) all pretty tidy apart from one small pile of rubble, she then demanded I replaced the fence because I had damaged it, WTF!!!

She has since written to my next but 1 neighbour saying that if he doesnt repair/replace HER fence he will face legal action, the looney cow has taken photo's of the fence and included them in the letter, now whats really getting his goat is the fact that when he replaced his side fence he gave her 2 fence pannels he had spare coz she was moaning then, he even gave her £50 to have them erected just to keep her off his back.

Both neighbours have faced similar abuse from this woman, apart from hiring a hitman whats my best course of action to deal with this lunatic.

Why not go and speak with the council/county/regulating authority for your area about her and explain what is happening, see what your rights are about trees that adjoin her property and what you can do about her, maybe even get a letter from the other parties involved with this problem to take with you. Then at least legally you will know your rights and then when she tries something on you can politely let her know that isnt the facts and she has not right to tell you. If she does anything wrong slap her with legal problems.

I think it may well end up going down the 'legal' lines, would like to avoid that though if at all possible

On another forum I use (www.vvoc.com) the best answer I received was "Put a 10 foot fence up just inside my boundry with Tresspassing old hags will be burnt at the stake written accros it above the level of her fence, then if she takes her fence down thinking she's won, take your new fence down aswell"

Pure evil................. I like it

Sounds to me like that might not work though, could be considered that you were casting rocks about here character. Even if it is true.

But yes I like that as well, but the fence would cost heaps is the problem

Not really, luckily my garden narrows at the end so the fence is only about 12 ft long, might just paint her side a shocking colour so she has to do something to avoid seeing it

12 ft fence line geez my back fence is 62 ft. You dont have a fence there you have a few planks

The state of it at the moment you couldnt even call it a few planks lol, I have a triangular shaped garden about 60 yds long so good for practicing when there's no neighbours about.

Gonna get my body armour on and go and see her one last time and ask nicely when she's gonna repair it before I take any action.

Good luck with the approach and I hope that all goes well with it mate. Thats great that you can get 60 yards I would love to be able to do that, but then again, seeing I am in a town area myself, better to go to the archey club and use the ranges provided, much more safe and nothing can go wrong.

How did you get on Liam, you could always use her as a live target, take her down the taxidermists and use her as a scarecrow.........................................................................and then do 20 years 'service'

I agree Liam, 10 years service would be sufficient

Well I was thinking that seeing as I would be doing the community a good deed, I should be rewarded for my efforts, I dont mind facing the wrath of the law as long as they send me on one of those young offenders holidays..er I mean visits to the Bahama's for some 'correction' training.
