Win&Win Trigger Bow Limbs Compatibility

Hiya
Newbie to the forum here

I have a Win&Win Trigger bow. Its one of their starter-type bows from a couple of years back.

I would like to get some extra limbs for it but am aware that it isnt INF fitting and so would really like to know if there are any limbs of compatible fitting.

The rolan bow, KAP Pro-Style, Sammick Levitar and also KAP Surprise all look visibly similar but im not sure if they actually are compatable.

Does anyone know please?? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks

Unfortunatly I do not have the answer your after, but I dare say say some one will be along soon with more than enough info for you, recurve is not strong point and I have one of those things with wheels on

Welcome to AR by the way

Hi Alex,

You will find at the bottom end of the recurve market manufacturers tend to make limbs specific to the handle and it is rare for them to be interchangeable between makes.

However, KAP are actually part of the Win & Win group so you may well find that the PRO Style limbs (which is a similar bow to the trigger in design) might be made to the same spec at those for the Trigger. The only recommendation I can make is to go to or contact your local shop and get them to confirm this for you.

I presume that you want to replace some old limbs rather than upgrade. If you are considering upgrading I would look at buying a good new handle with cheaper limbs and then upgrading those at a later date. You can then always sell the older limbs on or park-ex them when you do decide to upgrade.

Good luck with your quest and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the help folks Im going to pop in the local shop tomorrow.

Its not exactly an upgrade. My limbs are 36lbs but I hurt me arm a bit last week and found it a little difficult shooting last night. I decided it might be useful to get a spare set of lower lbs limbs for such occasions considering limbs of this standard are quite cheap

Apparently the limbs are the same size the main diff is that the Triggers have a metal nipple in the limb and a notch in the riser. Im told most nowadays either have none at all and the riser has deeper sides, or that the nipple is in the riser and a notch in the limb.
The thought occurs I could get limbs with a notch and effectively have a notch in both limb and riser. It would then be simple to cut a piece of steel rod to the correct length as a kind of double-ended nipple to go in both slots, thats if the sides of my riser arent deep enough as it is.

Cheers

Sounds like a plan to me!

Good luck and let us know how you get on

Hi Folks. Thanka again for the advice.

Been to my local shop and have the following to report:

They didnt have any of the sammick limbs to try.

The KAP limbs almost fit but were a bit too tight in the riser so if anyone wanted to use those they would have to shave the side of the limbs just slightly then reseal them after.

A set of Sam Wah fit perfect yay! (though another set of same Sam Wah but diff weight were a bit tight so to anyone with a Trigger wanting to get new limbs, go to a shop!!) So I now have a set of Sam Wah for my bow.

On the shop scale, my existing limbs actually rated 38lbs (not 36 as should be) so for my lighter limbs I went for 32lbs.
Its worth noting that the different limb makes and curve to the limbs meant I had to get a new slightly longer string to maintain brace height.

So all nicely solved and nice new lighter limbs to have a play with at next shoot.

Great stuff!!!! Ya.

Thanks again

Hi Bob,

I'm Glad you are happy with the result, and you ended up with a set of limbs that limbs that neither of us thought of! I used a Sam Wah as a beginner and it still shoots well after several years, so hopefully these limbs will give you some good service.

Let us know how you get on with them and shoot well!
Liam

Chuffed for you mate, seems your happy with the result, and when youve played at your next shoot why not submit your score into our Archery league
