What's the rules on rest periods?I'm still building up my strength and technique with this 'ere lark called archery - at some competitions I've been to there has been a break in the day for lunch, and what-have-you.
I fully appreciate that the Target League submissions each month are to be shot in one day, in one sitting - but could someone clarify rest periods. I fear that I wont be able to shoot 144 arrows without a break (this is the number required later on in the year)
Many thanks

It's a good call. 144 arrows are shot in both FITA and York rounds, and I've never attended one that didn't have some form of 'comfort break' (albeit you do walk a lot further in these rounds than to an eighteen metre target). Personally I have no qualms about what breaks people take during it, though it would be nice to get it all done on the same day.

I think it's only right that a shoot be done over an agreed period of time with agreed periods of rest - this way the league is "fair" (for want of a better word)

As far as I'm concerned as long as the shoot is completed in one 'sitting' with a few breaks here and there your ok, we discussed this before and the general feeling was that as long as your comfortable 2 or 3 10 minute breaks or even 1 half hour break is acceptable.

Great. Thanks for clarifying that
