This Summer

Just wanted to let all my friends here know that if I'm not on
the AR boards much this summer it's because I'll be doing
my other hobby, (Mountain Man Rendezvous) and work of
course.  Well work's not a hobby, but a neccesary evil...

I'll also be doing some local tourism volunteer work for our
little western town pretaining to the Fur Trade Era of this
area a few nights a week along with a few other folks from
our local traditional muzzleloading club, The White River Brigade,
in our downtown area.  Don't have the schedule as yet on this?

However, I hope not to miss any of our monthly AR Target League
Monthly Matches.

Just wanted to let you all know so you don't think I ran off and
fell into a hole.  I just dug a hole a little deeper this year to help
out our little community here.

Joe(the bow)M, you make sure that you have a great time and do what needs to be done, I am sure that you will have many tales to tell us when your schedule slows down
Joe(thebow)M

Once we get this little tourism thing a going, it should
be a lot of fun.

Thought I better make some time and get back here to visit my friends.  Hope everyone has been doing all right, and hitting lots of 10x's!

We took our little setup down from the vacant lot in the down town area with the 4th of July coming up.  It can get pretty rowdy out here when there's a big beer bash and we don't want anything stumbled over, broken, or carried off as some kind of drunken joke.

However, the local gun club I belong to (I run the traditional muzzleloading matches every month and even manage to win now and again) we're having a float in the parade come July 4, so we'll be busy with this for the next week.  After that it's off on vacation for about a week to go to our local Rendezvous in support of "Chadron Fur Trade Days" reliving the history of the fur trade out here in this area.  We touch on the 1800 - 1840 era.

I haven't had much chance to get a lot of archery shooting in so far this summer, but it's starting to get hot anyway so my archery will be early morning or evening when it cools down a bit.

Been riding my bicycle to and from work lately.  We yanks just ain't use to those high gas prices, and to be quite honest I don't know how all of you put up with it across the pond?  I guess we've been spoiled for a long time over lower petrol prices here.

Fortunately I only have about 3/4 mile to ride my bike to work.  I chose pedal power over my motorcycle as I need the exercise anyway!  I like bike riding, I use to do a lot of Century Rides when I live back east in Ohio.  I was a lot younger then, but I sure enjoyed those outings.

Looks like I got an email to check so I'll be talking with you all later.

Take care my friend!
Liam
