The shot I thought I'd never make

It certainly felt like I'd never see it happen to me...

I was outside in the garden, practicing at 18m for the Target League (to give Chedawan a run for his money   ) when I heard a loud "smack". I thought it was just the arrow tails making contact. Low and behold, I go to check the results and I'm amazed to see that I Robin Hooded an arrow

Joe(thebow)M

Funny how doing such a thing gives a person a good feeling, then we
realize,,, now we have to repair or throw out the arrow for a new one.

Still,,, to Robin Hood an arrow does give one a special feeling.

Well done wintellect
I'm still waiting on my 1st Robin Hood going to get new arrows so you never know lol

Thanks for the nice comments.

Yes, I'm very happy I did it - but as Joe(thebow)M said, I've come to the realisation it's costly as I'm off to Quicks in the morning for some replacement arrows.

Nice grouping wintellect

Doing it again would be impressive,     any more that that just expensive
JJ

You'll be less impressed after a few. I've done plenty of Robin Hoods
Chedawan

Great shooting mate!
The first one's always sweet... mine was with two jazz arrows which to this day are embedded in one another and kick around Sheffield Uni somewhere.  Always nice with club arrows.... the subsequent ones tend to be viewed as expensive.  Somewhat makes up for the expenditure on Vegas faces.  Would like to do one at 80 yards though!

Thanks all
Shuggie Hamster

what annoyed me about mine was it only scored a 9 (the arrow it embedded its self in was not quite a linecutter 10) even though i swear it would have come down on the other side of the line had the nock not got in the way.

lost a point, lost an arrow ... took all the fun out of it!
(every penny and point a prisoner!)
woozle

The best robin hood must be in another archers arrow!
Bushy

that way it only costs u one arrow rather than two I think i total I have do 4 or 5 now either with compound of barebow the best one was when i did it with a longbow and hit a compounders arrow lol
