The Heritage of the Longbow works!

Having asked a couple of silly questions, The Heritage of the Longbow was reccomended to me. My copy turned up today(cheers Merlin Bows ) I've been sat in my shop reading it this morning, only got about 20 pages in and already it's making more sense. And one of my regular customers popped in, saw what I was reading and has gone off to get me a bow he has had lurking about. Result!

Also found an inexhaustable supply of fletching- a friend works for the wildfowl trust!

I'm off to the Midland Gamefair this weekend, Anyone know if there's anyone there selling archery kit?

I'm trying to make as much as I can myself so at the moment I'm just after arrow heads and kevlar line to make bowstrings... and possibly some nocks, bit I have a couple of sources to check out first. I'll look into this membership thing as well. cheers for the links

Things are moving along nicely... ordered the arrow heads, paid me subs, just for the hell of it I've made up some bowstrings in hemp.. (traditional, and all that...) Got some bits of horn for the bow, stinks doesn't it! So just waiting for some feathers to arrive, and make a target!
Before long, I will have an Ash tree to play with, more fun and games! (Anyone want some woodshavings?)
