Considering that we just had a shoot involving such antics, I can highly recommend it for taking out your aggressions. Yes, a bit messy, but my chickens got a good feed off the residuals.

I wouldn't want to be cleaning the wooden arrows afterwards either, they'll be reallt sticky

Yep, carbons worked beautifully, very easy to clean with hot water and a little dish soap.
