Old And New, Korean Style

Thomas Duvernay's website on Traditional Korean Archery (Goong Do) has always been interesting, and I thought I'd put it up here again for others that haven't been exposed to this little-discussed field. The horsebow still reigns supreme in Korea, which has an unbroken tradition of archery going back at least 2,000 years. I highly recommend Thomas' videos, and his new book is excellent, which should be read in conjunction with Stephen Selby's books on Asian and Chinese archery.

Among many other things, I love the pics of fire and rocket arrows. These were especially effective in naval engagements, and even fired from special cannon. They make Greek Fire look tame in comparison.

Very interesting. I'll have to study that top link. I have a lot of respect for traditional Asian archery.
