New Old Bow

Well I've gone and done it now . Picked up a new bow (well, new to me at least) last night. Its an old Merlin Target Master 2. Its in pretty good condition considering its age. It could do with a new string but i ordered one today.

Its HUGE compared to some of the more modern bow but after trying loads at the club I found this to be the most comfortable for me to shoot. I was hitting the target now and again with it too which helped

Its set up at 43# and came with a thumb release aid, sight/scope, carbon long rod/stabiliser and a case (case is not in great condition though). All for the princely sum of £40

I'll stick a few pics up as soon as I track down my camera.

Ordered some xx75 arrows for it today too (club wont let us use carbon outside ). Will get some ACC's for it at some point once I get to grips with it.

The only thing I dont like about it is the vibration. Its a wee bit twangy. So anyone with any ideas on how to smooth/quieten it down a bit feel free to let me know.

I'm a happy bunny and cant wait till the arrows arrive and get down to the club with it.

I'm still getting myself a flat bow or a hoyt gamesmaster for fun shooting though

Cheers....Gumbob

Way to go Gumbob, just remember that YOU are the only one you have to please, if the biow feels good and shoots well then thats what you should go with, but the price is a real bonus
