Well finally up and almost running.......

GOSHAWK ARCHERS
Is a relatively new club, located in Warrington, Cheshire, between junction 10 and 11 of the M56.
The wood is very pretty especially during the summer, due to there being an abundance of rhododendron trees it is green all of the year.
It is dry underfoot this is due to several small drainage ponds around the wood; it has no steep slopes and can be negotiated comfortably by those of us with walking difficulties.
As our first shoot is on 20th July and we are very small in number, there will be no catering, but there will be soft drinks, bottled water and some snacks available.
The wood is available for practice 7 days of the week to members, with the only restriction being no smoking. Every style of archery is encouraged.
Off road parking is available to members and for shoot days negotiations are under way to secure off road parking.
It is hoped to increase the membership, any enquires;

Yes finally a field club near me I shoot English Longbow for Bebington Archers on the Wirral along with my wife, son and father-in-law. I'll drop you a line as I've been wanting to try my hand at field for a long time and I know the others would be interested as well

Congrats on setting up and I'll be in touch!

We have set up a permanent 60 yard practice butt   ....especially for you with longbows   well it always puts a smile on my wifes face when she shoots her 42# longbow.
kirk

Sounds good to me, i hope the practice butt is six feet square.
Look forward to coming to a shoot, keep us updated.

All the best Goshawk Archers.

fred

I second that but do not forget the independant archers
madhatter

I never have Fred......but the strange thing is there are no independents booked in.....YET!!!
People who know our little Goshawk group will tell you that we do not see any one style of archery as being superior.  We also treat every person club member or independent exactly the same.......even you Fred
fred

In that case may your club live long and prosper       ,
Fred
madhatter

You may be pleased to hear Fred we have a large gaggle of independents booked in.......we had to put on more targets because of the support......fantastic........well and truly fully booked.
