Merlin Archery ClubI see quite a few members belong, any information about the Club ? I have used the range down there whilst selecting and being advised, but what else does the club do, apart from saving £1 a time on range fees !
Dare I say ................is it full of hardened experts shooting goal all the time or does it tolerate newcomers who lose their arrows !

on the face if it, some of your comments are about right.
Being a member of Merlin allows us to shoot on 2 ranges, one floodlit, one 100 metres, with access to food, drink, toilets and a proshop for a reduction on the range fee.
Like most clubs there is a club night and Saturday gets pretty hectic too.
Being a member tidies up those affiliation issues as Merlin is registered as a club with the NFAS, the EFAA and the GNAS
And we have nice club colours!
Of course it can go deeper than that, there are always Merlin members attending shoots and there is a good camaraderie out there.
As Merlin members, we often do help and advise others, again the same as with any club.
So it isn't just an elite few knocking the middle out of targets and anyone is more than welcome to join. We don't have access to woodland, which is a shame but there are big plans for the further development of the facility at Bull in the Hollow including indoor facilities.
