Louise's first go

Took my daughter down the wood for the first time today and allthough with a terrible bow that is now far too small for her she hit 11 of the 25 targets (3 arrows per target) and managed 2 kills .

Will be taking her down to Merlin for her first proper bow in the easter holidays, nice little 20lb recurve me thinks

Here she is showing good form and pleased as punch after hitting one of my arrows

Brill,
Sophie had her first go with that 5 pin sight yesterday and hit more than usual even though it is nowhere near properly set upp.

Glad it's working already

I can see she gets her looks from her mother

You tell her that strange Aussie guy said well done and make sure she has more fun

What a darling! Makes me wish I'd had daughters...sigh.
Blackcat

Well done that girl. Thats what I like to see, more women archers.
Liam

Well I think she's hooked, she's been pestering me since for a proper bow, she can't wait a week untill the school holidays, she wants a new bow before the weekend

Took her to Decathlon yesterday to get the two most important pieces of equipment for british field archery................boots and gaitors
Steve B

need pics of them Liam, I am disappointed she hasn't modelled them yet
Liam

I'm sure you'll see them b4 long getting muddied up in the woods
Bushy

Hmmm sights hmmmmmmm tell you something if i could hit a fox like that i would be happy I hate all foxes especially the skinny one

Well after the success of her first 'field' trip I took Louise down to Merlin to get kitted out with her first 'proper' bow here's a few shots of her trying out when we got back home.

And her younger brother getting in on the act, think we need to fine tune his form a bit

And she's even got her first message from Robin

At least she hasn't tossed one into the barn's stalls like I did once in my youth. I don't know about that boy of yours, appears he's reliving a past life with that bow. Saw duty at Falkirk, perhaps?
Liam

He's intent on overdrawing at the minute, think he could be destined for a monster poundage longbow
Dawn

Good to see them enjoying it Liam

Hopefully we will see them at the wood soon

I have a diagram in a kyudo text somewhere that looks the image of your lad in the photo! My son is champing at the bit to start - beginners course in May... He's the same age I was when I started I feel old now
