Longbow safetyHello folks,
A quick question for all you experts out there.
Una vita has a 40LB longbow for sale, but, at 25" draw length. I would like to buy said bow but my draw length is approx 27 + 1/2" draw. Am i in danger of breaking/stressing the bow?
Many thanks in anticipation
mark
*Mark Ive moved this to the Longbow forum as it may get more feedback there, ive added a link to the for sale thread -Liam

I would almost certainly say no, as I have a draw length of 32 1/2" I have often found that the cut off point for many long bows is nearer 30"-32" much to my frustration

I'm with Mjollnir on this one, it'll stress the bow. Longbow deign is very complex, i have made a few and broke many.
Drop Fred a mail, he is a bowyer of great repute, he will point you in the right direction.

I haven't voted on this cause I'm with the others on this one. It would all depend on what the bow is tillered to. So see Fred, he's your man on this one.

I Have gone with caution on this and I believe a bow designed for a specific purpose/spec should not be exceeded.
Thanks for your thoughts folks
cheers
