Well the forcast for this shoot was 70 mph winds wind heavy driving rain, this on top of heavy rain all week just to prepare the wood. So with perfect conditions predicted Raven and I set off for the shoot.
We got there around 9AM and parked in the lane as the farmer was warning that the thinking was cars would get stuck in the field we usually park on. Got our gear together and set off to the wood.
The field was very boggy. At the start 3 targets were removed from the course to make it a 2 x 17 course instead of a 2 x 20 as normal. This was done purely for safety because it was felt that these targets were far too dangeous to shoot safely. Some approaches to some targets were slippy but Derwynd had done a fantastic job by putting ropes etc out to help the archers.
The group I shot with was great , the 70 mph winds and driving rain did not appear and I had a fantastic time. Anyone who didn't come because of the weather forcast missed a great shoot.
WELL DONE DERWYND for a fantastic day.
