Just a thought - something small but very annoying

The News marquee at the top, which displays various bits of information. Is there anyway to prevent the thing from displaying the text on more than one line?

If it goes onto more than one line I find the lower half of the screen bouncing up and down, and when I go to click on a link I find it has moved up or down, depending on where it was when I moved the cursor to it.

It also makes reading the posts more difficult. I have my resolution set at 1280/1024 so quite high, and I know others have theirs set lower than me, so I can't be the only one who's eyes are reading text which looks moves like a yo-yo.

Was unaware of the problem Haywain, I presume its just the first item in the fader ref Support AR, let me know if its more than that
Liam

Just trying to test this now, when I reduce my resolution it doesnt go onto 2 lines, just cuts the message short, what browser are you using ?

My res is also at 1280x1024 and no probs
Liam

Is it better now?
CaptainBeaky

Yes, it's still doing it!
Does it here at work on Internet Exploder 6, and at home on Firefox 2.

Very annoying when one tries to click on "View posts since last visit", and you end up hitting "Mark all forums read" instead!
Liam

Better?

As I cant seem to reproduce the problem I'm guessing at what to do to resolve it, hopefully its sorted now

Sorry Liam, was travelling back home from work, so missed your replies.

Seems okay now. It was the Support AR one. Evey time it came up, everything underneath dropped two lines, and then when it dissappeared, everything went back up two lines.

I was using IE6 at work and am using IE7 at home. Was the same on both.

Thank you.
CaptainBeaky

Yup - that appears to have fixed it.

Ta!
Liam

Glad it's sorted
