Ok - so I'm not that great an archer, but I'd still like to take part - it would give me something fun to work at. I have one question though, does the location of the shoot matter? I'd like to shoot in my garden (which meets the 18m requirement) is this acceptable?

And - seeing as I shoot a recurve with sight, would this make it "Other Sighted"? (Just want to conifrm)

Yes Wintellect thats ok just when you but your score in jsut say you shot outdoors and yes your OS

As above, I see no problems with you shooting in the garden, I've got a boss out in my parents garden (well field is more accurate, I can shoot up to eighty metres fairly comfortably) which I occasionally put some target practice in on. So theoretically I could shoot there, I only shoot at the club for ease, and because I can usually shoot a couple more rounds for other postal tournaments while I'm there - added to which i can usually manage to get someone else to keep scores

I do all my AR league shooting outdoors in my side yard. I don't have
access to an indoor range, but even if I did I would still prefer the outdoors.

Agreed, I prefer outdoors, it gets you used to all sorts of different conditions so you know how to react when they crop up again. I've seen no end of competitions won not necessarily by the most technically sound archer, but the one who best deals with the conditions on the day.
