Is it worth getting an arrow straightener? At the moment I am a beginner shooting on a beginner's course but also shooting in forestry. I am also bending a lot of aluminium arrows and this is reducing my shooting stock!
What's the best arrow straightener on the market? Or is it worth me just taking them along to the club and using their arrow straightener, rather than buying a pair of jazzed up pliers (like Cartel's on the Quicks website)? My other half reckons the jazzed up pliers are a waste of time, but then he's shooting wooden arrows and they break rather than bend.

For plain aluminium arrows an arrow straightener is not a bad idea. Note though you'll never get them as straight as when you bought them.
I wouldn't bother with the hand held ones though, as they are a bother to use and can easily over bend the other way.
If you are going to straighten I would use one of the table top jobs

My Dad and I have an arten arrowsett - definitely paid for itself over the years, as getting arrows straightened at a shop can be expensive.
Having said that, if our club had one I think we may not have bothered, as it is not something we use on a regular basis.
