Gone and done it now! (Part Two)Just ordered a load of wooden arrow making stuff from Richard Head Longbows. I've already got a Tollgate fletching jig (but with no instructions) and a taper tool, but I needed everything else.
I've also got Richard Head's arrow-making booklet (a freebie from them from a previous purchase ), Quick's arrow-making booklet & Pip Bickerstaffe's 'The Heritage Of The Longbow' so one would think I should have enough reference material but I'm sure I'll be shouting for help soon enough (especially on the fletching bit). I'll also try a make a little 'photo-diary' of my progress.

Sounds good it isn't that hard and it means you make them as you want them and can put your own personal touch into them

Question, I'm going to mark each arrow with a red, white or blue ring near the nock so I can tell which arrow came from which peg but I was wondering if people also number their arrows and do they give each arrow a unique number? I was thinking this might be useful for determining which arrows 'work best'.
Cheers

marking arrowsTo mark my arrows first I shoot them about 15-20 times into my boss
2-Then put 2" inch circle on boss and shoot at about 15-20 yards.
3-Make sure each shot is true.
4-The first three that group well mark 1-3
5-Mark all the others number 1 (9 times out of 10 that is the first you lose)
6-It is easy to mark 2-3 from number one instead having 3 number2 or 3.
