Centura this sunday

Any one going? are there any spaces left? Ive had a sudden urge to go shoot this weekend, dispite the fact that I havent held my bow for 6 weeks
Dawn

Think I am booked in along with Lou and bushy (maybe I should check they got my answerphone message )

Get booked in Liam there may be some spaces left (phone Janet number in NFAS mag)

You can ask to shoot with Lou and me again if you want to I think we can put up with showing you how to go on
or take your chances with whatever riff raff may be there

Either way hope we see you there Its usually a good shoot and very local to us

Liam

I'm on the case as soon as I get up in the morning
Dawn

Good for you

Dont go and forget now will you
corbarwolf

Liam you are more than welcome, just ring Janet (see the club website for phone numbers, directions, etc)
Not sure of the numbers myself.
Hope to see you there.

Mark.

Ruthy

We're going!
Booked in by phone on Monday (left message) didn't hear anything so rang again yesterday and we're in! The only disappointment was that Janet wouldn't let Ratty and me shoot together because we both shoot unlimited (doesn't that make it limited! ) apparently there are loads of unlimited booked in and only 2 freestyle's they don't want us unlimited's to hold things up!!
I would have to say in my own experience that you can get away with at least 2 unlimited's on a peg easily ....and i won't be raking for 3 arrows per target either!!!
Anyway off to polish my new limbs see you all Sunday
Liam

I'm on the case, trying to get hold of Mrs Janet as i type, bit concerned now though, loads of unlimited booked in and I havnt so much as looked at my bow in the last 6 or 7 weeks sure I'll have fun
Liam

No joy as yet, I've left a message so fingers x'd im in
Steve B

Hope you made it in LIam, you need to shoot again my friend...after you are supposed to be an Archer
Liam

Im in Im told I'm shooting with Cherrie and Wendy, according to form these are a right pair of trouble makers notorious for their antics on the uk archery circuit

I hear The Ratfighter may have experienced the wrath of this Cherrie charactor once or twice
segolden

This I'd love to see, only problem is I can't get a bus ticket from Tucson to London. Think they allow hitchhikers on British Airways?
Steve B

I'm with Steve on this one, would love be there to see the anitics of this Cherrie and Wendy characters, they certanly sound like they have fun.........

Way to go Liam (Just hope you are not too sore the next day, seeing you have a been a slack and idle archer and haven't shot for ages )
Dawn

sounds like we will be having a good day

WHAT have I let myself in for
fred

I would love to come but they have tied me down at the moment and it is to far from down here they will let me play with this if I am a good boy Fred
Liam

Somehow fred I think you are going to have to prove to Carl and Mrs fred that you can be trusted to go out on your own again
fred

Are you saying I cannot be trusted I AM HURT
Liam

Fred I would trust you with my life sounds like i'd have more fun if I did
fred

I DO TRY LIFE CAN BE VERY DULL IF YOU DO NOT TRY SOMETHING AT EVERY CHANCE. YOU HAVE ONLY ONE LIFE THATS A BIT DEEP FOR ME. I DO NOT LET THE B*****DS GRIND ME DOWN
Dawn

Fred I know you would love to go to Centura on Sunday but the main thing is you need to get well first

Its great to see you back on here and thats a good first step

Just take it easy and get well enough to come out shooting again, we are all missing you but you take your time

Liam

Weather looks OKish for tomorrow, overcast but should remain dry

We having another photo shoot ?
fred

I do not think I shall have to worry about the weather HHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I think we should need to find all the AR members we haven't met yet and include them if we can

Like the AR members pics thread

(may have to start a 'spam' thread for that then )
Liam

Looks like a promising start to the day, still a bit chilly right now but the sun is doing its best to burn the cloud cover away and we are promised 20c and no rain
Dawn

It was a great day, fairly warm and no rain til we were heading home

Thanks Liam really enjoyed shooting with you again, also Lou (Wendy) and Bob (who isn't a member of AR) but he is quite a character

I didn't shoot at all well and I know its my own fault as I haven't shot since Duvelle (beg July) probably as long as Liam Dont know how I managed it but I got equal first score but second on kills.

Anyway it was still a good day hope Lou is OK she was very tired at the end of the shoot

Steve B

Wot !!!! no pics dawn ?

Sorry Steve no pics Liam forgot his camera and I left mine in the car

At the end of the day everyone was in a hurry to get on their way home as it was just starting to rain

A couple of Centura members were taking pictures during the day maybe wingfield6 or corbarwolf will be able to pass them on to us Pleeeze

corbarwolf

Just for you Cherrie, a taste of the days proceedings then my batteries ran out, but i do know Paul took some.

Bushy

Must admit I had a brilliant day thought the targets were cracking hard but hittable with a bit of skill/luck use the force on a few. Was a cracking day the weather was good and the shoot kept moving there was no backing up I found AND I CAME THIRD WOOHOOOOOO and not far behind at that 4 off 2nd so something to work at.

Many thanks to the members of Centura for a brilliant day and another good course
Bushy

Cobarwolf please send my regards to the person taking the pictures that are on ur website and remind me next time i see him thats two I owe him
Liam

It was a great shoot, well done to all at Centura, great course and use of the woodland, although there was a slight concern over how tightly packed some of the shots were, some were quite close, having said that no one came to any harm and I'm sure it was perfectly safe, I've just never seen shots that close before.

Good use of faces, distances and terain, there was a couple of mean faces at distance but these were just about hittable, we dont want it too easy do we

Of my limited knowledge of open shoots I would give this a Ratfighter style rating of 7.5/10
Dawn

Thanks for the pictures Mark

And thanks again to all at Centura, another great days archery
