Bow maker

I bought a bow & accessories off ebay recently and was curious to find out anything about the maker, D Cotterill of Northampton?

The bow is about 78" knock to knock & marked 65lb @ 30"  and is made of yew, hickory and lemonwood.  Wont get to shoot it properly until next weekend though, which is just as well as I need to tone some muscle!

Nice looking bow Andy

Sorry I don't know anything about the maker

I appologise if you already know but there is a lot of useful information about stringing and warming up longbows here

http://www.bickerstaffebows.co.uk/index.php

Hope it helps

Thanks, that's a useful website.
The rather large young chap who sold it to me used the step through method to string it.  When I got home I couldn't do it, especially as I was being careful with my new toy!  And you can see it only has a single knock at the top.

Anyway the people at our club (Ascham Bowmen) said it was really too powerful to use  step through, and showed me that the knock was made large enough to take a stringer and simply slip the bowstring in.
These things are so easy once you've been shown
