Bearpaw AFB'sHi All,
Hope you all had a great Easter weekend.
Does anyone have any knowledge of, or experience using, an AFB made in Germany by a company called Bearpaw.
An archery supplier in Ireland, Flybow, have them for sale on their website but I can't seem to find them on sale anywhere else.
One of the Bearpaw bows is made mainly from Ash and another uses mainly Maple. This gives the bows a lighter appearance than the norm.
If anyone could give any help or advice it would be very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Les

Les,
what´s the bowname/modell you see?
I used to have the:
Sniper 70"/60# + 55#
Star Hunter 68"/50# + 55#
Dakota 64"/50#
and the Viper 68"/55#
all from Bearpaw.
You must see the price for each bow (for that quality, the price is O.K.)
All bows are "good shooter´s" but if i must buy me an new bow i would prefer the "VIPER", the "Bearstick" or the "Raven" (this bow is new).
Those bows are much better build (quality) and you get more "bow" for your money!!!!
If you are an beginner the "Star Hunter" or the "Sniper" are really perfect bow´s to start!
Please fell free for more question´s!

Hi Long John,
Since taking up archery I have used an 18# trainer bow and have recently been using a borrowed Samick Hunter AFB. My draw length is 30" and the Samick is 30# at 28"
I think the Star Hunter would be good for me as it will be my first AFB. The price is 181 Euros delivered which is about £141.
My wife is sharing the same bow at present but finding it difficult to pull to full draw. She is thinking about a 25# Mowhawk which Bearpaw claim is ideal for someone with a shorter draw. Her draw length is 28".
What do you, and anyone else reading this, think of our choices please.
Thanks,
Les

I use the Internature viper deluxe AFB you can get them for around £125 it is my first bow and I am very happy with it. I live in Ivybridge if you want to come out and have a go with it.
My wife draws about 26.5 inches and shoots a samick spikeman recurve. She did not go for any particular type of bow just for her draw length. We just tried lots of different traditional bows and chose the ones we felt most comfortable with.
PM me if you both want to come and have a look at what we have or just want any advice about getting bows as beginners. we have only been shooting six months, but were very lucky to get some excellent advice on choosing bows and starting out.
Cheers
Mike.
Edit Quicks do them for £110 now.
