I saw this when it was on the main BBC News pages and thought "that'd be good to stick on AR", but then I completely forgot about it and when I went to look for it it had disappeared and I couldn't find anything through the search. |

 Kinda figured people had seen it before, JimN. What caught my interest was the forensic aspect of the finds. Granting that shots can go low for all kinds of reasons, this is not the first time arrowheads have been found embedded in pelvic bone. It parallels findings from Civil War and Indian War bodies where bullets/arrows were found in the same region of their remains. People naturally crouch when in combat, and projectiles that strike them from the front tend to range downward from the upper body into the lower abdomen, often hitting the pelvic bone and stopping there. Not saying that happened in this case, but it may indicate that some of these people did not go quietly.
