arrow length.

Its me again. Here's one for you. I just got my wife to help me measure my draw length. Tape measure from the string to the arrow rest at full draw measures 25 and a half inches. Now i'm a big lad and around 6 ft and to me this seems a bit short( but then lets face it what would i know)
The Bow is a 60" recurve field bow @ 35lb and 28" draw. That would make my arrows 27 inches.
Any thoughts?

You might want to try this method, seems little more accurate from my own experience:

Don't know much about the field bow. But shooting my recurve 70" my arrows minimum would be 30" I will drop to 29.5" as I have a shoulder problem. Well, upper arm would be more accurate. (I'm 6')

How long have you been shooting? I ask because if you have recently started, your form will have not yet developed, so you need an arrow with at least 2" to go before there is any danger of overdrawing. As you develope, your form will improve & your arrows will "Shrink" (to fit even)

I would sudjest you go to your nearest or local archery shop and get measured properly. As has been said already the last thing you want is to over draw and stick an arrow through your hand and would not make for a good day out. You can always go back and get them cut down at a latter date. better be safe tahn impailed
