A random day of shooting

Well today, one of my cousin's friends decided to come and join us to shoot, I have been doing archery for about over 2 months now,Kenny (my cousin) has been doing it for 4 weeks now and William had just started today, even though he has had previous experience with it during school trips, but surprisingly at the end of the day he was at the long range!

And my best 3 shots

Kenny is having abit of trouble with his shots, his shots are sometimes perfectly aligned horizontally but is very high. and sometimes it's the other way round or both.

Andrew, what a great facility you have there to shoot, looks like you had a great time shooting, keep up the fun work
Liam

Wishing I had access to an indoor range, keep up the good shooting

The hall we are using now is temporary, our main hall is still under going renovation.  We should be back there by easter! =]

And us 3 had alot of fun!

Kenny started laughing at me , he thought i was getting Bulleyes  on the wrong target, but then he suddenly realized that i was intentionally shooting on the target.

Great to see you having fun Andrew, thanks for sharing the pictures

When I first started coaching 18 years ago I was working for the adult education, we used the local school sports hall, (Long Eaton upper school Liam this is where LEFA was born)  it went really well every year we were turning people away, we also used the same hall for LEFA club nights.

Unfortunately in 2000 health and safety got to hear of it and would not allow us to use a ladder to put up the backstop net so no net no shooting, a couple of years later they closed the school and  demolished the sports hall, they built a new sports hall on the lower school site, we were told there would be arrangements made to put up the net and the adult education would be able to start again, but it didn't happen

Its a shame as it was all very sucessful

Its a great shame Dawn to see venues like that closing down,
we do our indoor shoots in the local Banbridge Leisure Centre the Center has a perament net up it just slides across when the club use it ans goes bk across when other sports go into the hall, its a great place its being used for the British Barebow Champs and the N Ireland Champs

Great Photos Andrew glad your having fun

It is a shame

We also have a leisure centre but they want to charge us the cost of building a sports hall just to use it for a couple of hours a week      Just isn't an option at their prices

It seems some local authorities give more help to minority sports than others

Good luck to those of you who do have the use of any indoor facility
