A Bit More On The Hood

Interesting article!

The only things I know of the legend 'Robin Hood' is what I've read in books and seen in the movies, and I think all of us know how the movies go for accuracy of fact.  Though it's Hollywoods job to sell tickets and make money as is the case with publishers to sell books.

I have always been under the impression that Robin Hood was one of Englands great hero's to the people, the peasantry of the day.  I see nothing wrong with this whatsoever and will admit that when my hero's are called to the mat, fact or fiction, I think all of us lose something of ourself in this world that these, our hero's, helped to make us who we are today.

I'd just as soon know Robin Hood as the hero I always precieved him to be, regardless of the possibilities of research that may say otherwise.  Here's to Robin Hood!

Interesting read that, as always with historical 'stories' there are many differrent opinions, I like to think of Robin as the films tv series and books portray, a more interesting story

Myth is probably always better than "reality", but finding a grain of truth in a myth can be uplifting as well, at least to me. It's those moments that pull something superhuman out of an ordinary person that get my attention, though. That's what really makes  heroes, simple circumstance, and probably Robin was one such person. Legends grow from these.
