'Alternative' Compound bowWhat the hell is this ebay item
Alternative compound? Shoot through riser? Never seen one of these before, looks like some cheap tat to me but I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

Alternative sporting services make there own bows. I have only seen a few of them and have never shot one so I can't comment on what they are like, but the build quality seems pretty good and the people I have seen using them seem to be reasonably happy with them. You just don't seem to see a lot of them about.

They are actually quite highly regarded, not particularly fast but pretty accurate. Steve Kendrick was shooting a development one that was made up of layers bolted together, now that WAS strange!

If everyone did that there'd never be any new brands, and the likes of Merlin wouldn't now exist

Your right, but I'll still let others try before I buy

Alternative eXact are cracking bows I have been shooting one as an experiment over the last two months.
If you can live with you bow arm being close to the cables and you can avoid EVER touching the cables with your bow arm (it will demote your gold to a 4 horizontally) shoot though bows are great and very easy to set up/tune. Providing I remember not to let the cable touch my arm I find they group much tighter with my eXact than my cable guard bows.
I am considering converting my other bows to shoot through.
