Hallo to all,

i´m looking to buy me an "Bickerstaffe" bow and would like to know how you did shoot it!
Did you use an plastic nock or an traditional selfnock on the arrow?
Some thought´s about the nock taper (11/32" to ???") would also nice.

Anybody outhere how could send me some pic´s from selfnocks and fletching?

Thank you

Long John

Hi LongJohn,

I have reinforced self nocks with acrylic (perspex) - it looks quite pretty and adds a lot of strength to the wood to prevent it from splitting. Also made the set with 'experimental' spiralled feathers... pics on this thread http://archersrest.myfreeforum.org/about2953.html

Never been accused of being a craftsman before!!!

I put each shaft in the fletching jig and drew a pencil line along the length of the clamp for each flecthing position. I then used a pin through the end of each feather, gluing and pining from one line at the back to the next line at the front... if that makes sense!?
