Hi guys,
We took your advice and found a club. Great advice, thanks very much - not only have we found a fantastic resource and knowledgebase as well as first class training we've found a whole new bunch of chums. Our training is going really well and Michelle and I are getting much more out of the sport than we thought possible. The coaches are all properly trained and have already corrected my grip, stance, release and pretty much everything else. It's saving me loads of money too as I have fewer broken arrows. There is a downside however - it made want to go and get a better bow to shoot indoors. In addition to my two longbows I now have a recurve for use when the club shoots inside (the longbow simply wasn't right inside for some reason) so I need more space to keep the new kit!!! Fred, if you read this please be assured I haven't abandoned the woody - it's still my preferred option. For anyone interested I'll update the kit specs on my profile - any tips on using the new kit will be most appreciated.
