Ok it's that time again, been a while since I treated myself.

I am after a new field recurve around 60"to 62"45# to 50#@ 28"
anyone got opinions on the fastest, smoothest, most forgiving etc.
I'm torn between going totally trad and getting a one piece with a quiver full of cedar or maybe the new trad tech from Lancaster archery, with a set of Borders high end limbs.
Anyone shooting quality custom recurve's, What do you think?

Oh anyone got one for sale for sale. Lefty though.

Sounds very interesting, i have watched the Das Kinetic thing boom in the states over the last couple of years. If border come up with something similar at the right price the will sell.
Bushy i know what you mean about the Black Douglas, i have had a few in my time, the last one was a Hornet, super fast little bow.

Whats the deaal with Borders site, it's been down for months. Maybe they are waiting for the new line of superbows   .

sorry about our web site... Its on our list of things to do...
Its totally out of date, in that we dont do the black series anymore, in either the flatbows or the recurves.  The Hex4 and 5 have been out as the main stay of our takedown recurve limbs, and the GL series Flatbows have been out for over 18 months and doing very well. We have done away with the XP10 and 30 Recurve limbs as they are proving to be slow compaired to the hex4 and 5.  This speed and stability is gained with 95% carbon laminate we use now and a totally new recurve shape.
The new CXC laminate is being used in all our recurve bows, which outperforms any other laminate we have seen or tested.

Either way, we have some moutains of work to overcome to get our website up and running, so sorry and we will be in warp speed when we get back from our Annual Holidays...

Nice one borderbows.
So anything in the rumour about a short ally field riser. 17"/19" off the shelf, dark green anodise, fancy hardwood grip and inlays, clear glass over exotic veneers etc oh I'm of again    I live in hope of finding my perfect bow.

(What do you mean HOBBY!!!!!)
