Hi-Jacked Threads

Over the last few months we have been suffering from a steady increase in thread hi-jacking, now whilst I am partially to blame on two counts:

1) I have not stamped it out from the beginning
2) I'm probably as guilty as others for joining in some of the hi-jacks myself

I do feel as though this has reached a level where we need to address the 'problem' I accept that a certain amount of hi-jacking will always be there as the subject of a thread gradually changes course, we are not here to stop that, we do however need to stop the blatant hi-jack, which changes the subject of the thread in one foul swoop (post).

The one and only place that a small amount will be tolerated (a low-jack if you like) will be in the Archers Arms, which is our one and only off topic section were all members are welcome to post on any topic they like (please note though there is and always has been a request in the Archers Arms description that we refrain from political or religious debate and of course we must keep this a family friendly forum) For those more risky threads please don't forget we have the AR Supporters lounge where the rules are relaxed a little further.

All Admins and Moderators have been briefed on this and we will be working together to remove the issue.

We will be giving a warning on blatant hi-jacks in the first instance, and removing them if it persists.
Continuous offenders will receive a warning about their conduct.

We are not here to spoil anyones fun at AR but please, lets all work together to make Archers Rest a pleasant forum for all of us
