I have often wished that the various archery societies in the UK could work together rather than be at each other's throats which is often the case. Well I'd like to say well done to the Northampton GNAS and EFAA field archers.
Last weekend was the GNAS Northampton and Open Field Championships, which was held on Black Eagle Field Archers ground. As Black Eagles are an EFAA club they deserve credit, for not only allowing a "rival" society to use their land, but also for helping them put on a brilliant shoot. So thanks to Northampton field archers of both societies. (And I'm not ignoring NFAS, but they weren't there) I hope that this shows that field archers can all work together for the good of the sport, and that this sort of think happens more often.

Also credit is due to the two archers that went through with the Mankini Challenge. If you want to know what that was all about then look at this Mankini Challenge (Don't look if you are sensitive, there are pictures of men in mankinis, and little else!) I think that they have now raised over £1400 for charity. Well done guys, although I don't think that men being out in public dressed like this is something that should happen more often... or at all!

on a similar vein the EFAA bowhunters were put on with the assistance of an NFAS club, this year.
None of us are that different under the skin

We are a mixed NFAS/GNAS club at Raven, and help to run each others shoots within the same club so we've got GNAS & NFAS archers working together on a club level as well. Now wouldn't it be great if the 3 organisations could work together at a higher level, maybe with a deal so that we could attend each other's shoots using our own membership for insurance like GNAS and BLBS do? I must admit I can't see it happening, but I can hope.

Daniel
