Jimbow and I have recently been tracing his clan for a family project (Clan Moffat) and during our research found out that the Moffat clan supplied men to the lowland defence force called the Border Reivers.
Now for the coincidence, jimbow decided at the begining of his archery that he wanted to shoot bowhunter and purchased a Border Reiver bow, I'm not sure but I think the gods of archery had a hand in this one, what do you think?

Nice AFB get up here and we could start the whole thing off again. Anyone else want to join you have got to prove kinship to a Border Reiver clan first though.

My own sept (Golden) comes from the MacDuff Clan, from around Fife and the Cairgorm Mts. They moved to the Southwest along the Roman wall, around the area where Sarmatian cavalry were stationed (horse archers of the Steppes), and later to Oxfordshire, Ireland and the Americas. With archery in the blood from Gaelic, Germanic and West Asian tribes, I don't believe there's any such thing as coincidence.
