Welcome to archers rest and to the sport of archery.

Here is the greatest piece of advice you will ever recieve about starting archery.

Find your nearest club.

Here is the Greatest piece of advice about getting equipment for archery.

Find your nearst club.

You will note that these two piece's of advice are very similar.

A club has 2, thats right 2, great resources.

People who know about archery.
People who have archery gear.

To help you find your nearest club clicky here

Use these people for there brains and try outsome different equipment. i.e their stuff.
This is one sport you do not want to do cheaply. £100 wont get much. You wont start it for less then £150 - £500, and that's just basic equipment, if you still want to be somewhat accurateat the same time. It can go as high as the sky really. a grand at least.

The only worthwhile thing thats costs less than £100 in archery is a club membership.

None of this is said in malice. But if you ask a question like "i have £100 for a bow and i have shot before what should i do?" You will here the one answer alot around these page "join a club".

Join a Club. Its the smart thing to do. You are getting into a sport where you handle a weapon capable of killing people and animals. If you do it right it will be enjoyable. If you do it wrong it will be one of those hobbies that sits in your cupboard, or ends up on ebay.

So do the smart thing and go to a club. Let us know where you are if your in the uk and we will point you the right way, or go and have a browse in the advertise your club forum to find a club local to you.
